Above tripods on tripods and monopods

Like the build quality. Fold-out levers on the legs allow for quick installation. Several leveling bubbles in different levels are also great. The BA-111 head initially seemed small for my Canon 60D and 70-200 zoom lens, but it performed like a champ. Very happy with tripod :-)

Maybe not perfect but not bad at all

Pretty good tripod, really versatile and light weight, just what I wanted. I already have a heavy studio tripod and just wanted a good travel tripod and this one should do just fine. The ball head might take some getting used to, but nothing special. off and you have a 3/8 screw so I can attach my Soloshot2 on top. I've noticed a slight rocking motion when the B-pillar is pushed up with the camera attached. If you use a remote shutter release, you shouldn't have any problems.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Very expensive

Great lightweight tripod, not so good head

Walked through Yellowstone National Park, Devil's Tower and the Badlands. It worked great. I've rarely been on flat or level surfaces and it was easy to set up and very stable. I didn't start in the manual to describe the process of converting it into a monopod, I just put it on my leg. I'm not crazy about my head. With a Nikon D7000 DSLR and an 18-200mm zoom lens, it doesn't stay in place unless I press it really hard and then it's hard to undo. I'll try Bogen's head. I was able to easily…

The price is worth it, forget the cheapness

Don't waste your money on cheap tripods. This is one of the best tripods I've used in this price range. I originally bought a cheap $50 tripod to test and it couldn't even hold the camera. This tripod is "heavy" in that it feels sturdy and is made of metal rather than plastic. It can look straight down, which is perfect for videos where the camera should be above you, but there's no one around to help! Basically, it has a built-in alignment system that shows you're always flat, making you look…

Great lightweight tripod for moderate use.

Lighter than I thought and more versatile. The ball head is smaller than we would like because the connecting plate (shoe) is so small that it moves quite easily. This means that I often have to tighten the screw. When my D720 is paired with a large lens like my 85mm Sigma Art, it's impossible to keep the ball head level without tightening the lock. The legs and locks are great and easy to use. Fast fixation and firm hold. Unfortunately one of the leveling bubbles was broken (empty with no…

Stability, portability and build quality at a great price

I spent a lot of time researching and testing tripods before purchasing this one and the Oben AC-1441 is what you need. wanted a device that stretches to the maximum height and doesn't require me to constantly bend or crouch (I'm 6ft); to verify. I also wanted a tripod that folds down to a portable size so I can take it on a hike, on vacation, or just for a day when we're shooting around town. to verify. I didn't want the weight of the tripod to prevent me from pulling it out and carrying it…
