Like the build quality. Fold-out levers on the legs allow for quick installation. Several leveling bubbles in different levels are also great. The BA-111 head initially seemed small for my Canon 60D and 70-200 zoom lens, but it performed like a champ. Very happy with tripod :-)

Pretty good tripod, really versatile and light weight, just what I wanted. I already have a heavy studio tripod and just wanted a good travel tripod and this one should do just fine. The ball head might take some getting used to, but nothing special. off and you have a 3/8 screw so I can attach my Soloshot2 on top. I've noticed a slight rocking motion when the B-pillar is pushed up with the camera attached. If you use a remote shutter release, you shouldn't have any problems.

Don't waste your money on cheap tripods. This is one of the best tripods I've used in this price range. I originally bought a cheap $50 tripod to test and it couldn't even hold the camera. This tripod is "heavy" in that it feels sturdy and is made of metal rather than plastic. Lighter than I thought and more versatile. The ball head is smaller than we would like because the connecting plate (shoe) is so small that it moves quite easily. This means that I often have to tighten the screw. When my D720 is paired with a large lens like my 85mm Sigma Art, it's impossible to keep the ball head level without tightening the lock.
