Lighter than I thought and more versatile. The ball head is smaller than we would like because the connecting plate (shoe) is so small that it moves quite easily. This means that I often have to tighten the screw. When my D720 is paired with a large lens like my 85mm Sigma Art, it's impossible to keep the ball head level without tightening the lock. The legs and locks are great and easy to use. Fast fixation and firm hold. Unfortunately one of the leveling bubbles was broken (empty with no water) but with two extra levels on the ball head and one more on the legs it's really unmissable and doesn't work to bring them back. I just wish it came with no broken parts. This makes it an excellent travel tripod due to its size, versatility and light weight. This is not good for heavy or bulky setups. Of all my lightweight tripods, I've chosen long exposure photography or video for its stability. I won't use it for long shots due to the small ball head or if I plan on using heavy/bulky lenses.
