Everything about this grinder feels like top quality. It is extremely smooth to use and balanced weight in your hands. Not too much effort to get a very fine grind and it can easily produce a grind that will be too fine for any espresso machine! But once worked out it will consistently provide perfect grounds, and the process of hand grinding gives a visceral satisfaction that mat alone be the reason you're going to feel like the coffee is better.One gripe is that mine was definitely not calibrated properly from the factory or possibly they sent me a returned item instead of new. But the calibration process is pretty easy.This is not a light weight nor compact portable grinder, you should not be getting it for backpacking. But it is an elegant luxury for a Java snob. Oh and my cats love the sound of the grinding!
