They look nice, but the "fake" falls off without much effort. Since you can't wash them, you'll have to take them off when it's time to wash your hat. The easiest way to do this is to sew a button to the inside of the top of the hat with cotton yarn (I used a 1-5/8 inch button). The small elastic loop on the pommon is very tight and easy to remove and reattach. If you make the mistake of washing those little tribbles, you'll be left with nothing but a big mess. If you put them in the dryer on medium-high heat they will melt.
