Review on 🍱 COCOBELA Electric Lunch Box for Car and Home - Portable Food Warmer, 55W Rapid Food Heater for Adults with Removable Stainless Steel Container, 2 Compartments, Fork & Spoon by Corey Milton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

True to its name

BENEFITS At room temperature, food is evenly warm in 20 minutes and hot (like straight off the stove) in 45 minutes. Double that time when straight out of the fridge. No mixing required. Food is quickly heated and then kept at a temperature suitable for consumption. The bottom of the unit (the body of the heating element under the pot) gets very hot - too hot to touch for 2-3 minutes. But the food tray, when in place, doesn't quite touch that part. The sheet heats up quickly and evenly from all sides and from below over the entire circumference as soon as you place it in the device, without burning. Perfect. Once unplugged, the entire device (and food) starts to cool down rapidly within minutes, so it's NOT like a slow cooker that keeps your food warm for long periods of time. You should start eating immediately after unplugging. There is no insulation, just a plastic case. But even if this is true, you can hold the device with your hands immediately after unplugging it without burning yourself. With the cover removed, the unit cools down within 15 minutes, making cleaning quick and easy. The pan is aluminum, not stainless steel. Therefore it is not non-stick, however food will quickly detach from the surface if soaked in water for a few minutes. Therefore, it is very easy to clean, no cleaning is required even without a dishwasher. The round plastic plug/vent in the top/middle cover can remain in place while the device is powered on. During use, it releases enough steam to prevent pressure building when the lid is closed. The instructions say to unplug it before turning it on, but I always leave it in place when plugged in and I've never had a problem. CONS On the underside of the cover of the unit (see easy to clean. Needs a brush to get into all the grooves. I've learned to hold the unit upright to prevent food from getting into those grooves. Instead, this area should SMOOTH to make cleaning easier I'm not sure what they had in mind when designing this part When I first unpacked the unit I noticed a thin sheet of blue plastic covering the bottom of the heating element area (see pic ) which I had to remove. no mention of removing it and it felt like it was part of the block. Damn good I stuck my fingernail in there to check before turning it on! Otherwise it would have melted away - what could be the chemical smell that other reviewers have mentioned.SUMMARY It costs $24.I've been using it daily for 5 days now with no problems.Even after using it once l had left for 2 hours the food still didn't burn.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Boring packaging
