Review on Efficient and Safe 1700 Watt 🔌 Multi Directional Iron by Panasonic - NI-W950A, Purple by Sam Lund

Updated 4/23/2017. The iron stopped working 51 weeks after purchase. Went online to arrange a warranty repair/replacement as the printed warranty said they were open on a Saturday. no The website lists opening times for weekdays only. Now I have an $80 doorstop. My sister's good old Sunbeam is getting hotter, smoother and a lot cheaper. This iron works so much better than any major drug store iron I've had in the last 40 years. It heats up quickly, puts out plenty of vapor, is easy to fill, and the cord doesn't "snag" as much (it has a ball on the connector so it rotates, and it's longer than most too). That is hard. I think that's why it works better than my old "lightweight" irons. Ironing takes less time. Some caveats. With almost all fabrics, that "second" fold still can't be removed if you accidentally misalign it. It was disappointing. I wear pants to work. I also hoped to use it as a steamship. I recommend buying a real steamer and steamer. Even the best steam iron (and it is) doesn't work well enough in the upright position.
