The BC125AT is actually a very good scanner for the price.

BC125AT is actually a very good scanner for its price. Most of the negative reviews were written by idiots who have nothing to do with the scanner. One person complained that it was not digital and therefore could not receive police and fire service channels. That person should have read the specifications. This is a conventional scanner for analog voice reception. If you don't understand what that means, don't buy a scanner! This scanner is designed to receive legacy systems only, which means it will not accept trunked radio systems. This scanner is designed to receive analog voice only, which means it cannot receive digital voice. If you need trunked or digital voice communications, buy the appropriate type of scanner. Some police and fire departments still use traditional systems and transmit with analogue voice and this scanner does an excellent job of receiving them as well as receiving railway channels, commercial aircraft frequencies and any other traditional systems using analogue voice. . Don't blame the scanner for your radio ignorance! BTW airplane frequencies use AM mode, not FM mode, so an idiot couldn't hear the airplanes. Is programming difficult for the average person? Yes! The radio requires some programming knowledge. If you can't figure out how to do this, the problem is you, not the scanner. The BC125AT is not a preprogrammed CB or AM/FM radio. It was designed for radio amateurs who know how to program and use it. If that applies to you, then I recommend this traditional analog voice scanner system.

Cons
