The chickens are not sure of this.
My chickens are not sure about this. They're used to sitting on natural branches and trees and things like that, so I figured the leaves on them would give them a chance to try. So far they haven't actually paid much for it, never mind, but as for the product itself, the perch is sanded a little and is just the right thickness to accommodate larger birds. Easy to hang and install. I use mine in a chicken coop made from old swings so I just hung them on the swing hooks I had.
