, Having used Controsoil for a while I feel I have learned enough to give a brief overview. Pros: • It's more resilient than other river layers • Definitely helps with plant growth • Handy size pellets • Doesn't need cleaning/preparation • Looks great for natural aquariums Cons: • A bit pricey but worth it • If you plan to use heavier decorations, use sand or make room for it, broken pellets cause a lot of "dust" • Probably due to handling, but one of the two bags ordered had significantly more broken pellets. none had shipping protection (bubble wrap/tighter packaging etc.). But do you know that extra care would be desirable?
