I love the sturdy construction of these shoes. It's stable and the profile is solid and holds the foot well. This is good for heavier uses like long hikes and gardening. With a heavier sole, my balance is stable and I don't feel rocks through them. While I prefer lighter shoes for training or running, you're missing out on a lighter, thinner sole. Cheaper models don't have the durable outsole that this one has. These are beautiful shoes. Overall, this is a great shoe at a great price. On the other hand, it keeps heat and moisture off my foot when I'm sweating, but it's worth the trade-off.
