It literally does NOTHING. I sat outside on a patio after dark with a million of these tiny mosquitoes and the whole time I was there not a single mosquito flew in and was killed. Eventually I picked it up and held it in my hand because several mosquitoes were buzzing around my hand. While holding it, a mosquito landed on the back of my hand — the hand holding the device — and was about to bite before I slammed it to the ground. The thing is completely useless. I suspect it's because he's so small. The UV light part is only about 4 inches tall. A larger block might work better. I returned it. in the morning and went out to check. Nothing. Not a single mosquito. Two small moths climbed in and landed on a wire mesh. Useful only as a flashlight.
