Review on Delta 75158SN 2 0GPM Shower Nickel by Michele Smith

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very happy with this shower head!

We've had this shower head for a few weeks now and I have to say I'm really very pleased with it. We got a 7" Moen Vitalize 2.5 GPM head which I never really liked but thought was normal and looked good. It never gave me the higher pressure shower I crave. Me installed this delta in about 5 minutes and wasn't sure how I felt at first. The 1.5 GPM setting seems a bit flimsy to me and I will only use it if I run out of hot water I would say that the 1.5GPM setting is less comfortable than the Moen's 2.5GPM setting, which isn't surprising, and I really can't fault it considering it uses nearly half the water. That being said I like this option because let's face it sometimes we run out of hot water but we're not quite done with the shower yet.By turning it on at the 1.5 GPM setting you get the extra time you need to take a shower in those emergencies.Guide it on the 2.0 gpm setting and I like it a little better than the Moen while using 0.5 gpm less water. It throws water at you with good pressure and speed, but not too hard. It's a strong enough strength and I really feel like it cleans my skin and hair better than Moen. Moen felt more like heavy rain, while Delta 2.0 felt more like someone hosed you down. A small downside I found is that it tends to splash a bit more water on the walls than Moen due to the higher water speed, but nothing to worry about. Just something to note. I also really like how quiet it sounds. I only hear the sound of water. No hissing or high pitched sounds, just the relaxing sound of water. I've had compliments from guests on how great the shower head is. They don't realize it's actually a water saver! I was arguing between this head and the Speakman S-2005-HB-E2 Hotel Anystream Adjustable High Pressure Low Flow Polished Chrome Shower Head. I'm curious if speakman 2.0 gpm would feel better than that?

Pros
  • Full Body Spray is like a high pressure shower even at low pressure!
Cons
  • Expensive Insurance
