Review on KONDUONE Motorcycle Highway Pegs Foot Rests - Fits 1.25" Engine Guard | Replacement Parts for Harley Davidson Road Glide, Electra Glide, Road King, Street Glide by Justin Verslues

Great price and looks

I bought these based on reviews. Yes, there are some reviews that claim these covers are for engine protection. I picked them based on the 31mm bore, which is just under the standard 1.25" for stock engine protection at my limited 15-year low. Another sentence I looked at said the 32mm bore is just over 1.25". They are healthy and seem long-lasting. , not cheesy. The finish is good. I haven't ridden with them yet, but I'm sure everything will be fine. There are no installation instructions. However, anyone with basic mechanical skills can install them. Takes about 20 minutes. I have a few tips I learned along the way: The tension washers are in the same orientation as in the photo. Reverse the orientation of one of them as shown in the picture to ensure a correct fit. If you attach the footrest to your arm, make sure the footrest is in an upright or folded position when not in use. This will make it easier to align the screw holes. The planes of the tension washers should face the plane of the pin where the two set screws are located. The pins must be installed on the arm before mounting on the bike. Even though the inner diameter of the clamp is advertised as being slightly smaller than the standard 1.25", I still had to tighten them more than I'd like to keep them from slipping. Price, nothing's perfect, but it's pretty damn close. If they start to slip i just wrap tape around the motor guard where they pinch i am sure they will be ok as i have checked with my legs and feet to see if they are slipping i just received them but if anything happens in the future i will update this review.
