I have a small 5 gallon betta tank, the tank has a built in filter that does not draw current which is GREAT for betta but not for surface water movement . I was looking for a pump that would provide enough surface agitation for aquarium health but not create a strong current that would disturb the betta fish. This little pump is perfect. The clamp on the back is small enough to fit the small 1/4" hole on the hose tank lid to provide enough air to move the water but not too much to disturb the fish, and it is as quiet as I imagined it to be. for a way to enable it after connecting. I couldn't be happier. Now let's see how long this lasts.
