A decent thermometer for the price.
For the vapor sensor, I prefer the Omnigrid Ruler, which is a piece of cardboard cut to the actual shape of the hem I want to make (which I then roll up the hem and then press down), or for the actual measurement a configurable manometer by Nancy Zeeman. But since this item only costs two dollars, it's a really good compromise. It can also be used as a leno point, although my favorite is a special hard plastic sharpener, or a bodkin, or a chopstick, or various sewing techniques. But for an entry-level combo item, it couldn't be better.
