Great screen - lots of creases - but fixable!

So I bought a cheap mini projector from Revain and it came with one of those transparent stretchy screens. I wasn't impressed at all with the projector's image quality, but suspected part of that might be due to the poor quality of the screen. I decided to try a better quality screen before deciding whether or not to return the projector. Let me just say this: a stretchable screen is safe to throw in the trash. Image Quality: The image quality is much better than the basic stretch screen that came with my projector. While I can still say my projector isn't the best, I've since decided to keep it. For the brightest possible image, the screen needs to capture all of the light from the projector and reflect it back to you. This screen does just that. Materials: I was specifically looking for a PVC screen to get something totally opaque. I thought it had a black PVC back and a white standard projector fabric front. Not on this screen. The white front and the black back are made of PVC. It actually works great because the entire screen is washable. I wouldn't recommend leaving it outside for days as the bugs can turn it white, but getting it out in the rain won't hurt it at all. The eyelets are of good quality and well spaced. The seams are also sufficient. Wrinkles: Here they are. The main thing is what you are looking for. Yes, this screen is tightly folded and incredibly crumpled. If you just hang it up for 3-5 days, all the creases won't go away. I built a PVC pipe frame for backyard movie nights, so I didn't want to just hang it on the wall anyway. However, I did this for two weeks - just to see if the wrinkles would go away. About a week later, when literally every wrinkle was still visible, I decided to blow dry my hair from a safe distance on low heat. If you do so, you do so at your own risk. I watched a youtube video where someone made their screen shiny (not good for showing movies) by heating the screen too much. Anyway, I chose the worst crease in the middle of the screen and clicked on it for a few minutes every night. After about a week he made some significant improvements. However, it would take hours and hours to devote so much attention to the entire screen. My "Plan A" the whole time has been to stretch the screen into my PVC frame and leave it out on a warm day with a black backing facing the sun. We finally had a warm day (70F) and I gave it a try. It worked great! There wasn't a single wrinkle on our first movie night. The key to this was dragging the screen in all directions. I did this by attaching it to my frame with bungee balls. My previous tests showed that this special tension removed about 95% of the wrinkles, although a few were still slightly visible when watching the film. To give it a little more tension in the worst spot, I added a center support at the back and cut this tube an inch longer than the side tubes (see photo). Then I waited for a warm day and extended it a few hours before the film. screen perfection. Final note: the measurements given in the product photos are correct and I was able to assemble my frame when the screen arrived. I simply added 6 inches to the vertical and horizontal measurements (to leave room for tension) and built my frame on top of that. I used 9" ball bungee and it worked perfectly - tight enough that it didn't feel like ripping out the bushing.
