I was looking for something that felt more like a rug and looked less "industrial" than the hard plastic options available. These mats meet these requirements perfectly. A snug fit that adjusts well for legroom, with high sides that absorb clutter. Now, if I'm working on a construction site and I'm constantly lugging dirt in the car, I'd use plastic mats, but I'm mostly concerned with snow and sand. There is also a small plastic mat just under the heel of the accelerator foot to protect this high-wear area. So overall it's well made, more comfortable and better looking.
