Took this backpack on a 20 mile hike through the mountains. It was loaded down to about 34 pounds, including the weight of the water, on an extremely difficult two-day trek. All the different storage options in the box made it extremely convenient to access various separately stored items. The hydration bladder was very easy to fill with the integrated handle. All external straps for attaching items made it easy to access lights and radios when needed. Although the empty weight of the bag is a bit heavy, it is very durable. I've bumped into the ledges many times and it hasn't broken. Plus, two side pockets can hold a large water bottle for when you need extra water for a multi-source hike.
