Better than I expected

Great pack! I'm 6'4", this backpack is more comfortable than I thought it would be and very easy to adjust for any body type. Just amazing!

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • Ribbon

Don't buy from anyone else. Buy once to cry. Never

CamelBak bags never disappoint and are one of the few companies that never compromise on quality. I would not buy bags from other manufacturers. Set 10/10

Pros
  • Sleek Design
Cons
  • Unreliable

Humidification and moderate storage capacity.

Does its job very well. I only wish my laptop was stored in a separate padded compartment and not in the main compartment. Desktop replacement doesn't fit anywhere else unless I'm dehydrated, which is counterproductive compared to camelbak.

Pros
  • GOLS certification
Cons
  • Some defects

Terrible Best Accessory Set

I have two (first generation) and they are GREAT. The build quality and design are second to none. This third generation is a shadow of that package. The design veered off the cliff, and the quality followed. One look at MOLLE laser cutting and you'll quickly see cost savings. It gets two stars because it's not completely useless, it's just awful.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!

Durable, useful weekend backpack

Took this backpack on a 20 mile hike through the mountains. It was loaded down to about 34 pounds, including the weight of the water, on an extremely difficult two-day trek. All the different storage options in the box made it extremely convenient to access various separately stored items. The hydration bladder was very easy to fill with the integrated handle. All external straps for attaching items made it easy to access lights and radios when needed. Although the empty weight of the bag is a…

Best backpack for me so far

I needed a good hiking backpack for wildlife photography. I used an Osprey backpack which worked well but didn't quite fit me perfectly and didn't have that much capacity. This Camelbak BFM actually lets me carry more stuff (and more liquid) than ever before, and the weight is so nicely distributed I don't even notice. So far I have done several 4 hour hikes with no discomfort and very little fatigue. I also like to have a MOLLE system on my back and at the moment I only tie a flashlight there…

Almost perfect packaging

This is excellent quality packaging. I bought this to replace another Camelbak Trizip that also has Futura straps. The Trizip is a great backpack, but I found its molle position awkward and wanted more cargo capacity. This BFM is an improvement on both. I was happy to be able to fit two large 1.5 liter Camelbak vacuum flasks in the side pockets without eating them into the main hold. The full molle plate on the front gave more mounting space when needed. The Futura strap works great with both…

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Best military backpack I've ever had

I have hiked for most of my life (a good 20-25 years) and have always been fine. I've gone through many of them. In 2012 I started looking for military style tote bags (I'm not ex-military or LEO) because I liked the durability, strength and adjustability they offered compared to most civilian backpacks. I bought 5.11 Rush 12 and Rush 72; and while they are well designed in terms of organization, I found the ease of use far from ideal for hiking. I wanted two packs but settled on Camelbak HAWG…
