Review on 🔒 Pink Speck CandyShell Case: Enhancing Protection for iPod touch 2G and 3G by Antonio Urbina

UPDATE: January 12, 2011 I have changed my rating of the suitcase from 5 to 2 stars due to the continued lack of this suitcase . The lower part of the case keeps breaking off (was on two originals and two replacements). On the bottom is a very thin piece of plastic that covers the space between the display and the docking port. It broke on both my son's iPod and my daughter's iPod. It is an unreinforced plastic that bends and breaks easily. It must have some sort of built-in reinforcement to prevent this breakage. I also bought a similar case for my iPhone (which I checked) and am having the same issue. However, the rubber ring on this case is still intact and the plastic is broken. I would not recommend this series of cases to anyone. The case looks and feels great, however it looks horrible when the bottom breaks off as mentioned. - First Review - I bought an iPod Touch for my son's 18th birthday. He's broken things advertised for him in the past, so I was worried about the viability of his new 32GB iPod. I went to the Apple Store and heard the seller offering this case to someone else. He explained that it was durable and that he uses it too. I like the cover very much. It fits snugly around your iPod Touch and keeps it well protected. I particularly like that it doesn't overlap the screen and I can use the screen fully and unhindered. I have an iPhone 3GS and use a different case for it and I really don't like the rubber knobs on the edges of the screen as they really interfere with my ability to type. (I'll be ordering one of the CandyShell cases for my iPhone next!) The case looks sharp and has a soft interior that helps absorb shock if the phone is dropped. The screen protector works great (make sure you wipe all the dust etc off the screen or there will be little air bubbles). The buttons work very well. Choosing a cover is a difficult decision. This is an individual decision based on many factors. If you're looking for a durable case that looks and feels good and offers great protection, then this is the one for you! I would suggest this case to others I've looked at.
