This formaldehyde meter saved a life!

This temtop formaldehyde reader I bought from Revain for about $160 saved my life! It's an invaluable tool in helping me regain my health. I am very sensitive to mold and formaldehyde. We are building a new home and this reader has been invaluable as it has helped me to identify, avoid or otherwise manage many of the toxic materials used in home construction and decoration today (particularly frames, OSB siding, insulation, drywall, paint, Formica counters). . I really trust the numbers on his counter. It shows stable results in different places. It shows recurring highs when I have my usual formaldehyde symptoms and lows when I'm feeling good. It's always very low outside (0.02 or so). The readings are in milligrams, but based on the information I found online I believe it's basically ppm. This meter also helps me prevent illness and migraines by detecting formaldehyde levels from countless foods and substances I've been exposed to for a long time. Daily. I've just started testing everything and found out today that my supposedly healthy dish soap has a lot of formaldehyde in it, even though the website says it's formaldehyde-free! One of my storage bags that has a strong smell when opened and also contains a lot of formaldehyde. I got migraines today and noticed that my room had high levels of formaldehyde at various times for reasons I don't yet know. But thanks to this meter, I have a chance to find out why, or at least mitigate the health effects for now, by turning on the exhaust fan and opening the window. Knowledge is power. I will use this meter to help me choose non-toxic furniture like sofas, mattresses, and even kitchen cabinets and counters. I don't think all formaldehyde readers are accurate. I had previously purchased a $40 formaldehyde meter and the numbers are confusing and generally not comparable to that meter. This indicator changes from green to orange and from healthy to unhealthy when levels exceed 0.1mg. So it's very clear when the level is high right from the start, without a huge learning curve. This counter can also fail. It has been dropped a few times and will regenerate normally even though touched once for several hours. I have not yet tested the accuracy of the particle counter function.
