Review on Keyless Remote Sequoia Highlander GQ43VT20T Car & Vehicle Electronics by Edgardo Ennis

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Worked like a charm on my 2005 Tacoma

I was offered $120 to replace the remote at a 3rd party shop near me so I decided to do a little research. I saw this at Revain and decided to take a chance for $19 (for two remotes!). Went like clockwork! Turns out my Tacoma (and most Toyotas) can be "self programmed" to accept a remote control (or 2 or 3) and it's very simple. So, for $19 and even 10 minutes of "programming" I now have two working remotes! Here's how it works (for my 2005 Tacoma): 1. Start with the key in the ignition, driver's door open, all others closed and driver's door unlocked.2. Complete these steps within 5 seconds. Insert the key in the ignition switch (DO NOT turn) Remove the key.B. Insert the key in the ignition switch (DO NOT turn) Remove the key.3. Complete these steps within 40 seconds. Close and open driver's door.B. Close and open driver's door.C. Insert the key in the ignition switch (DO NOT turn) Remove the key.4. Complete these steps within 40 seconds. Close and open driver's door.B. Close and open driver's door.C. Insert the key in the ignition switch and leave it in the lock D. Close the driver's door.E. Turn the ignition ON (DO NOT START) and then turn it back to OFF.F. Remove the key from the ignition switch.5. Within 3 seconds, the electric door locks should lock and then automatically unlock, indicating successful entry into programming mode. Return to step 1 if the locks didn't work at this point.6. Complete these steps within 40 seconds. Simultaneously press the lock and unlock buttons on the remote control for 1.5 seconds. B. Immediately after releasing the lock and unlock buttons, press and hold the lock button itself for 2 seconds. Within 3 seconds the door locks should lock and then unlock again, indicating successful programming. If the door locks go through twice, repeat steps A and B in step 6 as the remote control was not accepted. C. Repeat steps A and B in step 6 for each new remote control.7. Open the driver's door to exit programming mode. Have fun driving!
