Of course it's good for adults too, but the zipper is enough once you figure out how to attach it and the cool box is very good. The food stayed good for two days. We entered the hotel and left the fruit in the fridge and the next day everything was fine. I recommend finding a way to use the strap to attach to the center strap so the fridge doesn't become a projectile on a sudden stop. I tied mine around our included center strap for security. Front pockets for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and other toys, and a top shelf for strawberries and play dough jars. Good buy. Plenty of space between two car seats on the back seat
