Doesn't work with iPad Pro 2018

I ordered this item because both in the description and it works with iPad Pro 2018 and because someone asked this question and the seller replied "yes". This combined with the high rating made it true. I thought. When I connected it to my iPad, a small blue emblem appeared in the top right corner. But then it went off again after 5-10 seconds. I connected it to the TV and it says there is no signal. I've unplugged and plugged it back in several times but each time the blue emblem came and went and I never got a signal from it. waste of money. I returned it and bought a UNI 4K HDMI adapter instead. . It was $6 more expensive but worked perfectly and the build quality was much better.
