These mats are made for arcade fighting games. If you play any of these, this is the best pad you can buy right now. The buttons and crossbar are fairly rigid. I had NO random direction errors (IE pressed down but received other directions). The USB cable is well made and has the best design. Please understand that this is a DPAD and not an analog drive. It's not made for games like Smash where you need analog sticks. However, you can change the d-pad to the left stick, so games like Link's Awakening, where the d-pad feels really good but forces you to use the left stick, benefit greatly from this controller.
