I needed a ceiling fan in my attic and spent a lot of time looking at different models. I decided to try this. I just finished the installation process this weekend and can give my detailed feedback. OVERALL QUALITY As soon as I opened the box and inspected all the parts, my first impression was that this was a quality product. All metal parts are a good weight and all fasteners are really strong. Inside, the motor is well made, turns smoothly and has solid electrical contacts. The fan blades are made of durable plastic. INSTALLATION The installation guide is a little rough in places, but that's what I expected from most guides! However, if you're patient, these instructions aren't bad. You have everything you need to know and all the steps are clear as long as you have the necessary details right at your work. Since you will be hanging it from the ceiling it would be nice to have a second person with you as reading the instructions from the top of the ladder as well as maneuvering the heavy parts of the fan can be a challenge. There are several very convenient aspects. to this device to help with the installation. The remote control receiver features a quick cable connection system where you simply tighten the cables without using nuts. Each connection is clearly marked. There is enough space inside the instrument to store the electronics. There is a cord and hook to keep the lamp on the ceiling while in use - a big help! Connecting the lighting is very easy, the parts are attached to the lamp with magnets, which works well. In my case, I was able to go from unboxing to a full install in 2 hours. FAN OPERATION AND SPEED After the installation was complete, I tested the lamp. and immediately satisfied with his smooth work. There are 6 speeds and the fastest speed creates a very pleasant breeze. Switching from one speed to another is quick and easy using the remote control. Changing the direction of rotation of the fan is done by pressing a button on the remote control. Depending on how fast the fan is running when you change direction, it may take a while before it slows down and then switches. The engine runs without any perceptible noise. The light comes with balancers in case the lamp wobbles, but in my case there was no wobble. The operation of this fan is very smooth and efficient. LIGHT There is a separate button on the remote control to turn the light on and off. It works quickly and there is enough light to illuminate a fairly large area. I have this fan in my attic which is about 500 square feet and it has enough light to sit down and talk to someone. For full lighting I also had to turn on the lights in the room. The light can change between 3 colors. You turn the lights on and off one by one to cycle through each color. I didn't find it very intuitive and it's not well explained in the manual. But it works. REMOTE CONTROL FEATURES The remote control is well thought out. There's an obvious set of buttons for the fan and lights, with clearly numbered buttons for each fan speed. Light and fan can work independently. The kit includes 2 AA batteries for the remote control. CONCLUSIONS This is an attractive fan that runs very quietly. It is well made, with quality parts and electrical connections. It looks great in my loft. I'll let you know if I notice any issues in the future, but my first impressions are very positive. I recommend it.
