For years we have used clothespins as "chip clips" to seal partially used bags of frozen vegetables, open bags of flour, and so on. Well I've had several of these clips in a great value portable tool set that I was given as a gift and we started using them for the same purpose because they are shorter than clothespins, have the same mouth size but a much stronger grip to have. I decided to order a few of these clips because most of our clothespins seem to be either broken or gone. For our purposes they are great. If you need small clamps for small jobs, they work too, but I've never had to clamp anything that small.
