It's generally ok to extend the USB Type A or C ports on my computer. But the HDMI port does not work well. The color on my monitor is weird (blue -> purple) and when I moved the cables a bit they disconnected/generated noise on the monitor very easily. Other type A or C ports will work fine if that's what you want. You need to buy a new HDMI converter because it's really hard to use. Update: I changed my rating from two stars to one because it has now completely stopped working. I was able to use it for USB expansion, but a few days ago I couldn't get it to work anymore. Such a waste of money
