Not even close. Garbage. Ask me why

This turbine struggled to produce ANY power in a constant 15 mph wind. To make matters worse, it drew around 200mA at around 10km/h as soon as the electronics woke up. I was waiting to get the turbine back when a storm hit, bringing steady winds up to 40mph. A storm started and the turbine just squeaked. The peak current at a 47 mph gust was 9 amps at 13.2 volts. (This works out to 118 watts), which is nearly 75% below the advertised 400-watt deal. Healthy and proven 75 Ah. the battery was intentionally discharged to 50% for this test. No loads. Battery only. The installation was installed outdoors at an altitude of 20 m above sea level. No obstruction in any direction at the end of the open pier here in Seattle. I have had other turbos of the same class and build (Air X Marine) and they put out over 40 amps under similar conditions. Some other notable issues in this kit include: Noisy rotor bearings, short and undersized. Output wires, useless rectifier/regulator, inaccurate toy anemometer. In conclusion, I was overcome with curiosity to see if the $260 turbo that looked so good and was considered so good could be true. nope Anyone who has criticized this product knows what a respected turbine manufacturer is. Save about $1,500 and buy a Rutland or Air X wind charger.
