My PNY XLR8 fan spacing is 39mm and fan spacing is 40mm. I ended up drilling holes in the shroud and fan spokes and used very small zip ties. It worked well, just difficult to adjust, I didn't measure the distance at first and used the only published rating. So if you have a PNY XLR8, be sure to check the clearance on the fan cover before ordering. I still give it 5 stars because the fans work well and it was my fault for not checking mine first.
