She seems to have a milk intolerance. When I started training again, I needed a way to easily get more protein. Since I can't eat whey, I've tried LOTS of different non-dairy options. I tried Garden of Life, so disgusting. I've tried Vega One and Orgain, both so chalky and rough. I've also tried egg white powder, but while I'm a big fan of eggs, I couldn't get over the smell and texture. I finally tried this powder and I have to say that it is by far the best vegan protein I have ever tried. It mixes really well and tastes good. It's not as good as some of the whey powders I've had in the past, but hey, there's so much you can do to mask the taste of pea protein. The only thing I don't like about it is that it tastes too artificially sweet for me. It's not a big deal or deal breaker anyway, but I wish it wasn't so cute. Sometimes I add an extra tablespoon of raw cacao powder to balance out the sweetness. Here's the recipe I use: 8 ounces almond milk, 1/2 cup frozen blueberries or cherries, and 1/4-1/2 banana and mix. I only mixed it with almond milk, but I like it better with fruit.
