Review on πŸ›‘οΈ Vinyl Protective Collection Guard by Doug Layman

a good, relatively inexpensive way to protect your record sleeves

I'm quite a picky vinyl collector. I have albums from the 50's, mostly 70's-80's, a few modern releases/reissues. There are about 750 in total in my collection (so you know who you are dealing with). I bought these because I thought most external cases were overpriced. I was also a bit skeptical that I could get something like this relatively cheaply, which protect my album cover well from further wear and tear. I really like these sleeves, they are transparent and durable. Initially I had some problems with placing the albums in the sleeves, but I think it was due to my poor technique. Unlike music stores where the opening of the outer sleeve often coincides with the opening of the album cover (to make it easier for customers to access the vinyl), I really wanted these covers to have a hole in the top of the album cover, so keep more from the bad guys. Dust from records. Once I placed the album spine against the inside of the outer sleeve, the open end slid in fairly easily. I'm just saying. I had no trouble with these singles, doubles, turnarounds and most triple LPs. Some people had problems with multiple LP applications; In my experience, the outer sleeves have enough "give" to stretch a bit, especially over time, much like a new pair of shoes adjusts to your feet. Now my entire collection is protected by these covers from Invest in Vinyl. About the durability we will see but I don't think they are far fetched and don't foresee problems. If you are interested in protecting your vinyl on a budget I recommend these cases. Now my entire collection is protected by these covers from Invest in Vinyl.
