I love this bottle! It was cheap and did exactly what I wanted: a single wall water bottle that I could use to boil water over a fire. salt water left in it. The salt water washed out the tiny pinholes on its sides. To be honest the remaining salt water in the bottle is my fault not the bottle but now I see that the wall thickness on this bottle is just thinner than the competition. I soon replaced the bottle with a competitor's product. Both bottles are made from the same food-grade stainless steel, but the thinner walls just can't handle salt water. At least I think the thicker wall gives me a little more time to wash the bottle before it's negatively affected by salt water. I liked this bottle so much that I decided to replace it with the exact same bottle and just be careful. about using salt water in the future, but I ended up not doing it and bought another brand. If this was the only bottle I could get my hands on or if money was very tight I would buy it again. I'll be more careful about leaving salt water in my stainless steel bottles from now on, but for now I'm glad I have a thicker wall on my alternative water bottle.
