Good concept, but a few weaknesses

According to reviews, all iPad keyboard cases have their strengths and weaknesses. The question is, which ones are important to me? I just made a replacement request for this keyboard due to some issues, but I'm willing to try again. Pros: The iPad feels secure and I'm not worried about it falling out. It doesn't need to be rotated, so that's not a problem. The size, weight and shape of the case allow it to stably kneel or even lie in bed during use. Since you put your hands on the case when typing, it helps make it stable. This is a Logitech keyboard issue that I've noticed. The keys are comfortable to type on, the key placement doesn't bother me as others have mentioned, and I've been typing for years (and years). Cons: It was easy to see on the packaging that this keyboard was used. Someone didn't even try to repackage the original. Items were scattered and simply thrown back into the box, and the cardboard inserts containing the various pieces were crushed and damaged. Even the simplest box had creases that I didn't expect. The inner plastic partition looked like it had been dug up from the county landfill. When I first plugged it in, I had to wiggle the mini-USB power connector to get it to work. The internal connector wobbled, so I'm pretty sure the connection was compromised. You must insert the connector further into the PCB to allow the plug to rest against the housing, making it less prone to bending and damaging the socket. See photo. The cutout for the iPad power button wasn't centered on the button, and I couldn't press the button with my finger, so I had to use a paperclip to get in. See photo. The keyboard backlight isn't very bright, but that's not a problem since the iPad's light allows you to see the keys fairly well. The iPad does not come out of the case easily, it is even difficult. The instruction sheet is so small I had to find my magnifying headset and even then I could barely see the diagrams. I don't know why some Chinese companies don't hire an English speaking person to check their manuals. Heck, I'd do it for a modest amount of money. Finally, the edges around the perimeter of the case, the top and bottom halves, are a bit sharp. Although it won't cut you, you'll feel uncomfortable sliding your finger along the edges. You might think I don't like this keyboard at all, but I actually do like it, especially when I read about all the issues faced by the competition. She. I think with a few small tweaks this keyboard could be top notch. I'll see if the replacement is better and maybe increase my rating. Update after receiving a replacement. It turned out that the iPad's power button hole was off-center as mentioned, but little did I realize the device lacked a rubber pad to fit the hole. No wonder I couldn't reach him. The replacement has a rubber button. The mini USB connector is securely attached to this device and the connection is reliable. I support my original suggestion that they should move the assembled connector further into the PCB and maybe open the hole so the connector body actually fits into the aluminum for more protection. So if you only lift the case on the left side, the connector can and will bend. Increased rating by one star.
