Review on Sportiva Womens Wildcat Running Hibiscus by Brian Finley

Great shoes for hiking!

I was looking for a lighter weight hiking shoe and these were recommended to me. I wore them the first time for a 10 mile hike in a Maine 4000 and the second time for a 12 mile hike in an NH 4000. They worked great and I didn't need a break-in period. The rigidity of the sole and the excellent padding are enough that I don't feel the stones under my feet. Even a few times when my finger was pushed forward on long descents, I barely felt it. They fit my goals and my feet perfectly - they fit a slightly wider foot and don't put pressure on my many sores that I've developed over years of hiking. I'll most likely get another pair with Gortex so I don't have to worry too much about wetter trails. If you are a runner, they will probably feel heavy; If you are used to wearing hiking shoes, they will be much lighter.
