Bought this set for my husband. He is mixed race and his hair is thinner. They're still rough, but he has lighter hair. His hair was about 3 inches tall and he used it with Cantu hair lotion and it worked! He has soft curls all over his body. We've found that holding the sponge at an angle and moving it in small, slow circles gives better, more defined curls. His hair went from just fluffy and knotted to soft curls. As he sprayed some glitter we started singing Soul Glow 🤣🤣 and he became the selfie king. Started taking photos etc. So yes it works and yes it's worth every penny. The lock pick that came with it broke within the first minute of using it. So it's not sustainable at all. He ran it through her hair and it snapped in half. Lips are still intact. He didn't even use the second one. So yes, I recommend this product. It costs $.
