Great HD Antenna - Accessories and Consumables

I really like the picture quality because I live in a valley with lots of trees around me. Now I get over 60 channels with better quality than cable for many. My antenna was missing the nut and bracket for mounting the UHF bipolar antenna, but I had one that worked. The instructions were good except for a confusing drawing that didn't seem to apply to the antenna model I bought. In my situation, I was able to use an existing bracket I had at home for an old plate satellite receiver, which was much stronger than the bracket that came with it. This worked great after I added a short 2ft extension to get the antenna above the roofline. Make sure you use RG6 cable for best results and remember that the preamp needs to be in front of any splitter you intend to use. The only real problem I had was powering the preamp under my house. Luckily I had an outlet near my house for another purpose and that saved the day. Overall I am very happy with this antenna and can trade in some of my cable digital boxes.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
