I ordered this litter box so we can have a second one and to help our cat move to a new location for her litter box. He hasn't used it yet so I can't say it's easy or difficult to clean. I would say it's not as strong as our other closed box that I bought from a big box seller. The lid doesn't snap open and stays like our other one and the little grille that has to snap open to clean Kitty's paws really shrinks the hole so I took that out. The small hinged lid for easier cleaning is very thin so it will be interesting to see if he uses his foot to open it. I might just remove it because I think it introduces general box instability. On the plus side it comes with a measuring spoon which is a handy plus for me! All this to say that this box of change cost $11 and the fact that it was delivered to my door makes up for the fragility of the product. Just know that don't order something that's as good as a $20 box and you won't be disappointed.
