Shortly before she died from cancer, my mother-in-law gave my husband a chef's knife for Christmas, which he uses almost every day. This Foodville sharpener has worked wonders to bring such a special sentimental item back to life, not only for cutting and grinding, but also for buffing and buffing the tool so it looks almost like new again. I've included a before and after photo of the knife so you can see the difference in shine less than a minute after applying the sharpener. When attempting to sharpen kitchen scissors, I found it easier to keep the tool slightly elevated by holding the handle on the left, as it was too uncomfortable for me to slide the scissors forward on the flat surface of the countertop . Scissors are now almost unrecognizable because they seem to be able to cut through anything with ease. I look forward to sharpening and polishing many more items with this handy tool and the clear and concise instructions were particularly helpful as they gave me the confidence I needed before beginning the process.
