I got this little baby from Revain about a month ago at a great price. I spent a good couple of hours with it, trying both videos and photos with almost every setting available. Pros: The picture quality is amazing. I assure you that if your budget is under $1,000, you can't do better. Very comfortable, smooth, easy to capture moving subjects and the image stabilizer works quite well. Very intuitive settings and control mode. You don't have to study for hours. If you have reasonable light, the results are very close to some high-end video cameras. Cons: First and foremost, the outer case looks like it's made out of cheap plastic. He is not tenable. Your index finger must be at least 4 inches long to reach the button when taking a still picture. I think it's just the hard drive. It comes with basic software which is very bad for managing your videos and photos. (Maybe I didn't spend enough time researching) I actually took some higher resolution videos and converted them to DVD format with Nero and burned them to DVD. When I played the same thing on my PS3 at 1080i, it was very close to 1080i streaming directly from CAMRA to my TV via HDMI. I also recommend purchasing an extra battery (which will be cumbersome) for your travel needs. 5) I highly recommend this babe if you want to buy a decent camcorder without emptying your bank account.
