Be patient and do a little research.

This is the first dog whistle I have ever used. The mechanism is easy to change pitch and the construction seems solid. The sound is audible to the human ear, as far as I know most dog whistles are not silent. Dogs and cats react to sounds. One star deducted for lack of instructions or information.
