Waste of money
I ordered this stone from Revain because I lost the stone I was using. The original had a nice smooth finish and I could easily tell the delicacy of the gold by a tiny scratch. This is nothing more than a cheap tile with an unusually rough surface that makes it difficult to determine the hallmark of a gold object. I did the usual small scratch and it didn't work because I couldn't get a single solid gold scratch on an unusually rough surface. It might work if I scratched the item very, very badly and extensively, which I didn't want to risk with a fragile item. Save your money!
