I bought this case mainly for one reason. My new Alienware 17 R5 doesn't fit in the Alienware case of my previous Alienware 17 laptop. You could actually force it, but what protection would that offer. This bag has the largest internal dimensions that I have found. At first it seemed too tight, but after a few uses it relaxed. It fits easily on my new laptop, which is good because it stays in place. The given dimensions probably do not allow reducing the protection of corners and edges. Although it's too early to tell, the design looks good. But I only gave it 4 stars because unlike other cases it doesn't have a handle or outside pocket for a power bank/wireless mouse and the price is a bit higher. I used to only be able to take my laptop with me for short trips, but now I have to have a bag with me. Finally, a small downside: they offer a small gift to buyers who give them a 5-star rating, which challenges the 5-star ratings they receive.
