This is the same product found in traditional hardware stores but is sold at a lower price. The air purification system is a mandatory filter for LG refrigerators. Like in a smart fridge, small sensors remind you to change the filters (both air and water). After the sensor worked, I found the part number online and ordered it. A few days later the filter came, I opened the filter compartment, replaced it and got to work. Pros: Made by LG, perfect fit. I'm not sure I would recommend an aftermarket filter unless it was made by a reputable company. Disadvantages: none.
