Review on beyerdynamic DT1770 Pro Studio Headphone, DT1770 PRO (DT1770 PRO) by John May

I've been a sound engineer for many years and have always used speakers. I've been using headphones more and more over the last few years and decided to try a reference level mixing set. I like my DT770 more than my other phones so I chose these 1770s as an upgrade. The sound is very different from all the usual headphones you will find in the studio. The level of detail is fantastic and the transient response has been greatly improved. They seemed very bright at first, but then I adjusted to this new frequency response and now my other headphones sound muffled. A very good reference point for precise and critical listening. Using a decent headphone amp also goes a long way, I use Schiit and together this has been a very positive change in my workflow.
