The box in the picture looked bigger than it actually was. It fits in the palm of your hand. It actually works like a multi ring box and is about twice the size of a normal single ring box. I bought it to fit my mom's Christmas ring that I made for her and bought a second ring box thinking I could fit a regular ring box in because it looked so big, but it didn't. Big. Inside black felt, well made. It's not held in place by magnets or anything like that, but it seals well due to the weight of the closing door. However, it would swing up if you put it upside down.
