I didn't buy these to replace toilet seat bumpers but they are so thick they still became the most important toilet seat bumper. Installation took less than five minutes. No tools required. They're not as loud as the hard-surface bumpers that came with the toilet seat. As the guy who feels guilty every time my wife drops the seat, I no longer need to feel guilty because the new seat bumpers have rubber padding and I can't tell when my wife drops the seat because I do can't hear the seat hitting the seat.
