Doors are likely to be used much more frequently in a kennel than in a normal household. Last fall I started building a small kennel. It has 4 passageways on each side of the building. I only finished one side (4 runs) and bought 4 of these inexpensive doors thinking they would get me this far. Then in the spring, when I was done building and finishing the other 4 runs, I made plans to buy commercial grade dog doors. The Original 4 has now been worn for over a year and shows no signs of wear. I've even seen puppies half in the door, half out the door, lying on their backs chewing on a flap. They held up so well that instead of buying noisy expensive commercial dog doors I bought 4 more for the other side. They are quiet and work well. I also like the extra light they allow into the kennel. On very windy autumn/winter days the doors sometimes open, but pulling a tarp over the perimeter fence (I was planning to protect the dogs from the cold winter wind anyway) solved the problem. They were easy to install but to be honest I do construction projects all the time. UPDATE: 2 years later and still very happy with it!
