Discussing the brightness of the green LED is an empty endeavor as everyone has their own personal sensitivity to the level of light during sleep. I like as little light as possible when sleeping, which is why I found the green LED on this thing to be quite annoying. I wrapped a bunch of black tape around the top and that fixed the issue for me, although it would be nice to be able to just turn the LED off. That issue aside, I think this is a great product. It works as expected and I haven't had any problems so far. I'm not berating this product for that, but these days when the number of gadgets we have in the home seems to be increasing exponentially, I wish all manufacturers had the option to turn off the status LEDs on their products. So those who like them can leave them on, and those who find them annoying and unnecessary can turn them off.
