I bought two of these. They have cheap covers that break easily. The sleeves contain a strange special adapter with two ports (USB and Lightning) for a cheap microSD card. Both devices I bought were unreliable and refused to connect to some hosts. My Windows laptop connects, but most of the data just disappears after copying to the USB drive. Strangely, the USB drive still shows that the capacity has been reduced by the amount of data copied. I tried using Windows Disk Repair Tool but no improvement. I haven't tried installing phone apps that should offer hard drive integration. I also didn't try using an external USB-C adapter or the built-in Lightning adapter.
